Is this not clear enough?!

Importation of cats

A general certificate of health is not required by CDC for entry of pet cats into the United States, although some airlines or states may require them. However, pet cats are subject to inspection at ports of entry and may be denied entry into the United States if they have evidence of an infectious disease that can be transmitted to humans. If a cat appears to be ill, further examination by a licensed veterinarian at the owner’s expense might be required at the port of entry.

Cats are not required to have proof of rabies vaccination for importation into the United States. However, some states require vaccination of cats for rabies, so it is a good idea to check with state and local health authorities at your final destination.

All pet cats arriving in the state of Hawaii and the territory of Guam, even from the U.S. mainland, are subject to locally imposed quarantine requirements.

The receptionist was telling me I had to have rabies and all other sorts of things….all I can say is thank heavens for the internet!!!!!!!!!

Manic

Well Life is a little more than manic, hence the lack of updates and now there is going to be a space for a few days again!!!

I had a wonderful birthday weekend, but after a few days with my head in the clouds I came back down with a bump on Moday! I now have a HUGE list of ‘To Do’ things that MUST be done this week as Friday is Abigail’s party in Birkenhead with Graham’s family at Pizza Hut and the Saturday night is Graham’s sister, Louise’s, wedding reception. Then Sunday Abigail is having a party at church during the Sunday school time as we are away for the weekend but at least a couple of the kiddies were really sad they weren’t goign to be able to have a party with her.

Can you tell it is busy by the lack of paragraph’s?

Also I am trying to sort the cat out to fly with Graham and I talked to a silly receptionist who quite honestly did not know a thing and has booked poor Chloe in for all sorts of things, so now I have to print off all the paperwork again that says all she has to have is a health check…by Monday for her appointment in the morning!!

I just finalised my last day at work and booked my leaving do also…..29 Sept!!! Graham flies out for an interview in the Indy are on the 30 Sept so I really had to leave then….

I need a 30 hour day! lol

I am going on about 6 hours sleep and for those of you who know me that simply is not enough. Midnight - 6am is about what I am getting *yawn*

Raging Emotions

Well, in many ways I feel like I am pregnant again with the amount of emotions that I have flying around! (And no I’m not!)

Just today I have finalised my last day at work, found a replacement for my job at ECM, been reminded this will likely be my last UK birthday and asked ‘Will it hurt to drive 120 miles to see family one last time…we are likely not to live in the UK again?’ (It was said nicely!)

Gosh, now I’m sat here with tears in my eyes contemplating going to bed….

Friday night

and my lovely mother in law just called to wish me a happy birthday weekend - isn’t tht lovely?!?! She is now talking to Graham so I thought I take the chance to update my blog…Here’s the week

Monday - a UK Bank holiday which meant I had the day off an dI FINISHED clearing the loft. I had a friend comment that I seemed to be doing that alot and was it a big loft. For those who were wondering the same thing…yes, it is a big loft and although it wasn’t full by any means there was alot in in it! esp baby stuff and Christmas stuff!

Tuesday - Work in the morning and the afternoon…hmmm I think I cleaned!

Wednesday - I worked int he morning and then….BIG DAY!!!! Graham had an interview confirmed in the Indy area AND booked his flights for the 30 Sept - 7 Oct to be in the Indy area. It was all a bit hetic esp as Graham’s laptop had been over heating making computer work a bit difficult!

Thursday - I went to Kids Zone and met up with 2 ECM families and a church that is working closely with us over the next year and I was able to take the kids who had a blast! Graham spent the entire afternoon argueing (is that how you spell that?!) with sony and DHL, a currier company, abot who and when the laptop was being collected!!! It was still at home and seriously hot!!!

Friday - Work and the second interviews for my job at ECM. And then this afternoon we had some friends over.

Also this week….we confirmed our shipping date/company AND I finalised my leaving date for work.

WHAT A WEEK!!

Because I don’t have enough going on….

Filed under: Life, Family, Friends, Moving

….I left Jacobs nappy (diaper) off this morning.

I am a terrible Minister’s wife. It’s true! There are certain people at church who irritate me. I won’t mention any names because you never know who reads these darn blogs. Although I am fairly certain this person does not as they are a fairly non computer type person and if I said the word ‘blog’ to them I am sure their response would be ‘what is that?’. Anyway I digress.

The afore mentioned person has a two year old in their life just a couple weeks younger than jacob and they have been claiming that their little nearly two year old has been potty trained for some time.

Well, last night at church I won the bad mummy award and forgot to take a nappy and wipes to church and because we had been out ALL day Jacob decided to poop during the singing time (he did manage to find a nice quiet corner) so I went to find one of my co-mum’s and beg for a nappy and wipes. She laughed and totally understood! Don’t you love non-judgemental people?! Lord, make me like that….

So anyway I was telling the afore mentioned person tht i had forgotten a nappy and was explaining why and she said ‘Well, how’s the potty training going?’  I so wanted to retort ‘Well, I just had to beg, borrow and steal a nappy. How would you say the potty training is going?’ but I just said ‘Well, you know with moving and everything I’m not pushing it.’

But it did get me to thinking and so I left Jacob’s nappy off this morning and he wee’d in the potty twice and poo’d once (well, I cought him pooping so one terd was on the floor and two in the potty! but i’m counting it as a poo in the potty!!!!!)

Now I thought that was pretty good until I found another wee on the floor in his room and one on Abigail’s bed once he was down for a nap.

So what have I learned…not to feel preasured by SAHM (stay at home mum) who has nothing better to do than chase a not even two year old around with a potty and two to go with my gut and realise I do have to much on. Why do I let people presure me into something I know I don’t have time to do right now?!

And now in the rare moment that I have with both my kiddies napping I am off to clear more crap out of the loft. I am now onto the Christmas stuff!

quick update

So many things are happening….interviewed this week for my job at wirk (oh the joys of being the HR manager - you have to find your own replacement emoticon !) That was very tiring. We have two fab candidates who we’ve invited back for second interview next Friday.

Jacob has this week also decided that morning naps are for the birds and keeps now falling asleep on the way home from things meaning he is staying up VERY late at night. Now he is as good as gold when he is awake, but well, he’s awake! Last night was a record….11pm! emoticon

Graham and I are going away tonight and celebrating me turnign 30!!!! next week. SO a HUGE thank you to our dear friend Nicki for having the kiddies for 24 hours - you are a STAR!!! She was around last night to see Jacob awake so her plan is to get them to help wash her car this afternoon and keep him awake - I think that’s a good plan!

Well, I am going to run to Tesco in a minute to get a few bits for the kids over the next 24 hours and then I need to pack.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Well, life is busy but good this weekend. Graham’s mum came down on Friday to get her dog Dolly. Which was actually a huge stress release. Dolly is 9 months old and little more than naughty. Infact Jacob perfected the phrase ‘No, Naughty Dolly’. She was probably the worst dog I have ever had under my roof. I won’t go into all the details but suffice to say I’m glad she is gone.

Dot left Saturday and we had Saturday afternoon free. In the evening we went out to dinner with Kevin and Leah & Dennis, Michael and Fi. We had a really great time and it was good to catch up with all of them.

Today Tim and Tammy are coming over for a late lunch and then Tim is speaking at church.

Somehow in the five minutes I have had free I have managed to clear more stuff from the loft - YEAH! List a few items on ebay, have a few things collected from sales on ebay, post a few things, so I still feel pretty good about it all. One thing I do keep wondering though is how much is it possible to get rid of?!

Our goal is that by the 1 Oct we will only have things inthe house that are either needed until the last minute or are being taken with us….we’ll see if that happens. We just figure there will be loads of paperwork type things to be sorting by then.

Well, I’m gonna go make my cuppa tea.
